Bij Hanuš Lamr kan een sieraad, object of sculptuur beginnen met een dennenappel, met korstmossen, een pijlstaartrups of een eikeltje. Hij vindt ze in de Tsjechische natuur of gewoon in een park in de stad. Hanuš onderzoekt deze herinneringen aan bepaalde landschappen. Zo werd een ‘relikwie van de natuur’, een wespennest, een ‘monstrans’ van brons en bergkristal.

For Hanuš Lamr, a piece of jewellery, object or sculpture can start with a pinecone, with lichens, a hornworm or an acorn. He finds them in Czech nature or simply in a city park. Hanuš explores these memories of particular landscapes. This is how a ‘relic of nature’, a wasp’s nest, became a ‘monstrance’ of bronze and rock crystal.
